BEHIND THE BRAND
Kathryn Lees began her journey with Tofino Towel Co. back in 2016 when she was working in marketing for a fashion brand and created a plan to create a collaborative towel designed with the brands custom curated pattern. She worked with Tofino Towel Co. again in the fall 2018 to help them launch their collection of home throws at a design store, and then personally introduced the collection to a particular influential personality in early 2019. Needless to say, there has always been a connection. Following a consistent relationship and realizing how well aligned goals and values were, Kathryn and the team at Tofino Towel Co. knew there was so much more in store for the brand.
Kathryn's career has led her in a variety of backgrounds, working in sales, marketing, design, production, operations, supply chain, and accounting (to name a few). This became the perfect mix of experience that propelled Kathryn to a pivotal moment in her life when she was offered to work at Tofino Towel Co. in 2020. It didn’t take long (6 months) for her to independently run the company, and she hasn't looked back since!
Kathryn is extremely passionate about the values behind Tofino Towel and strives to create products that follow the mission statement of to “Live Outside & Love Inside”. Essentially a place where customers can feel amazing using their products for multiple aspects of their life while always keeping sustainability at the center of the products, which allows people to make more conscious and sustainable choices for themselves and the planet. It is Kathryn's mission to grow Tofino Towel by producing beautiful, high quality, innovative, and creative designs.
