They are 100% plastic free, vegan, and biodegradable, with a bamboo paddle brush for its large surface area to help reduce breakage and increase blood flow to your scalp, gently stimulating with every stroke.
Recommended to use this hair brush to reduce static and add extra shine to your hair. Using a plastic hair brush increases the electric charge in your hair, leading to static and frizz which is equal parts annoying and uncomfortable. Bamboo has a neutral charge so it will not cause static to build up leaving your hair smooth, shiny, and manageable.
Great for those with sensitive scalps as the bristles are rounded with no potential for catching hairs, making the brushing process more enjoyable.
Pro tip: Jack59's leave in conditioners make brushing much more enjoyable. Always start brushing from the ends and work your way up to the roots to avoid breakage.

Jack59 is a sustainable, plastic free line of hair care products in bar form that are handmade in Edmonton, Alberta. Founder Vanessa Marshall is a Metis entrepreneur who started Jack59 to improve the wellbeing of her family and create the lifestyle she desired. She loved the concept of a shampoo bar but couldn't find an option that worked; the results were always drying and made her hair feel like straw.
As an aboriginal woman, Vanessa wanted to show her daughter and other aboriginal women what can be accomplished if you work hard and that it is possible to follow your dreams no matter your hardships. Aboriginal women are strong and resilient and Vanessa has overcome many obstacles in her life to be where she is and she is proud of that. Being a business owner is hard work but it also gives her the ability to spend time with her family.
