All About Using Dish Soap Bars

Written by the experts at The Bare Home

Dish Soap Bars are gaining popularity, and for good reason. They’re affordable, eco-sustainable, easy to use, and just as effective as traditional dish soap.

A dish soap bar is a solid, compact form of dishwashing soap designed to replace traditional liquid dish soap. Typically made from natural and biodegradable ingredients.

The Benefits
The benefits of using a dish soap bar are multifaceted. Let's take a deeper look:

Sustainable
Dish Soap Bars contribute to environmental sustainability by minimizing plastic waste and reducing the environmental impact associated with packaging.

Long Lasting
Known for their concentrated formulation, when you use a Dish Soap Bar a small amount goes a long way. This concentrated nature makes them efficient at cutting through grease and grime on dishes, making them a cost-effective option in the long run.

Cleaner Ingredients
These bars often lack synthetic additives and harsh chemicals, making them gentler on the skin and safer for the environment. With natural ingredients, they are less likely to cause skin irritations and are biodegradable, minimizing their ecological footprint.

Multiple Uses
Their versatility extends beyond dishwashing, as Dish Soap Bars can be used for cleaning various surfaces, making them a versatile household product.

Why You’ll Love Using a Solid Dish Soap Bar
While a solid bar of dish soap uses less energy to manufacture and ship, one of the biggest benefits is that it’s completely plastic free, with very minimal packaging overall. Each bar is wrapped in a small piece of recyclable paper. That’s it!

You’ll also love a solid dish soap bar if you prefer a very minimal countertop without any bottles or packaging. Just don’t forget to use a Natural Pot Scrubber or Dish Brush and Self-Draining Silicone Soap Tray or Ceramic Soap Tray

The Benefits of The Bare Home Solid Dish Soap
Powered by plants, The Bare Home's Solid Dish Soap is tough enough to cut through stubborn grease and baked-on food, but gentle on your skin. Each bar is handmade in Canada with olive and coconut oils and scented with energizing grapefruit and orange essential oils. Nothing else! The formula is vegan and biodegradable, so it’s good for you, good for your home, and good for the planet.

Each block will last the average household about four to six months, so it’s cost effective too.

How to Use a Solid Dish Soap Bar
Use a solid dish soap bar just like you’d use a normal bar of soap:

  1. Using warm water, wet a Dish Brush and rub on the soap in a circular motion to create rich suds. Repeat as needed to refresh suds for ultimate grease-cutting power. Wash your dish and rinse well before drying.

  2. For really tough, baked on messes, use a Natural Pot Scrubber to lather the cleansing suds all over the dish before soaking in hot water. Let the item soak for a couple of hours before using our pot brush to give it a good scrub.

The Bare Home’s Solid Dish Soap is scented with organic essential oils with scent profiles of either Grapefruit + Orange or Bergamot + Lime. One bar replaces up to 3 bottles of liquid Dish Soap, lasting the average household 4-6 months! Best of all, they’re made in Canada.
