Behind The Brand
Lav & Kush is a woman-of-colour owned and operated brand that empowers busy women to look and feel their best in sustainable, flattering and versatile clothing. Wanting to create happy clothing for women since a child, Lav & Kush founder Angela Saxena dreamed of being a designer since the age of 8. Coming from East Indian parents, she learned the Hindu story of Lav and Kush, who were the twin sons of Lord Rama. In Hindu mythology, they, with their mother Sita, were exiled into the woods for years. While there, they were little protectors of the woods. From a young age, Angela vowed she would name her fashion company Lav and Kush, and would use sustainable materials that were gentler on the Earth. Now, being a mother of two, she understands the need to have soft, comfortable clothing for ALL aspects of life - from lounge, to work to evenings out, yet feeling like you're in your softest pjs and feeling great at the same time!
